ORPIT was on hand at the Knickerbocker Hotel for their “Overnight Haunted Tour” that took place on 11-1-08.  We were there to assist people that were hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the ghosts that are said to take residence at the Hotel.

It didn’t take to long for strange happenings to begin.  It was reported that one of the guests within fifteen minutes of walking through the door was touched on the neck while looking at evidence the Knickerbocker has gathered.  This happened on the main floor behind the bar area.

Another occurrence happened  while everyone was just walking throughout the hotel getting themselves familiarized with the building.  On the third floor one of the guests was snapping random photos and called one of our investigators over.  The guest explained that every time he took a photo in one of the rooms it turned out blurry and his camera kept malfunctioning.

One investigator stood there and watched the process over and over as the photos of the room continued to come out blurry and the camera malfunctioned every time.  Yet photos taken in the hallway between the photos that were taken in the room were clear and the camera didn’t malfunction at all.

At the same time while the guest was experiencing this, one of our investigators also reported that he getting a lot of distorted photos while standing just down the hallway.

Is this paranormal?  We are not certain but it was odd that the activity occurred around just the one room and was experienced by more than one person taking photos at the same time.

Throughout the night guests and investigators heard footsteps and some strange shadows were reported.

One group that consisted of three investigators, three guests and a member from the Knickerbocker reported of a voice from the basement.  I (the guy that does the web page) was there and also heard this first hand.  We were all standing in the basement doing an EVP session.  One of the investigators asked for the entity to tell us its name.  Within a second or two of asking this question all heard a very distinctive male voice that sounded no more than a few feet away from the group say something that could not be understood.

This was heard by everyone that was in the group.  We instantly reviewed recordings that were being taken but couldn’t make out what was said.

We are disappointed to report that after we reviewed this section of audio and did everything to pull this voice out, we came up empty handed.  All that can be heard on the audio is a very muffled noise that does appear to be two syllables but what is being said can not be detected.

One investigator did capture one photo that caught our eye.  Take a look.  The top photo is the unedited version.  See the light that seems to be streaking across the ceiling?  After doing some simple light adjustments it is clear to see that all that was captured was a reflection of of a silver vent pipe.

We would like to thank everyone that participated in the Knickerbocker Event.  We had a great time meeting and working with everyone that was there and hope that we get to meet again sometime.
